Could you please check
 - whether the following symlink exists?
   /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/gajim/data/plugins -> ../../../../../share/gajim/plugins
   This should be in the latest experimental version.
 - whether you installed the plugins from experimental, too
   (the ones in unstable/testing are still GTK2 and Python2)

Ah, yes, I already wondered why the title bar is so huge on XFCE :~)
