That's already in the TODO.Debian file 
(actually /usr/share/games/trigger-data, not sure what do you think is 
better?). I just haven't done this yet, since I'd like to wait until s.th. 
urgent needs to be fixed or a new upstream version is ready.

As a side note: I've finally managed to contact Jaz (upstream). She has 
created a project on sourceforge and wants to grant me cvs access :).

If you want to change the data dir, please take a look at trigger's 
TODO.Debian, I've tried to list all places that need to be updated.
