+Prboom's music can be played via hardware or software MIDI. The default,
+if /dev/sequencer is present, is to attempt hardware playback. Unfortunately
+there are some issues with the music playback and some hardware that can
+result in X lockups.

+For this reason, the Debian package of prboom disables music by default. You
+can re-enable it by changing "music_card" in ~/.prboom/prboom.cfg to "-1"
+(which corresponds to auto-detect sound card).
