+    Starting with version 4.5, XBoard no longer honours configuration settings
+    defined by X resources, but uses new configuration files
+    /etc/xboard/xboard.conf and ~/.xboardrc instead. Configuration options
+    previously set by X resources can be restored by either setting them in
+    the configuration files, or by configuring them manually in the GUI
+    configuration dialogs.
