This seems to be working now... but I did upgraded hardware a lot.

I will test on older laptop soon.

Status in “freeciv” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:

Incredibly, mind boggling slow drawing, scrolling and animations are incredibly slow.

1) 3D games run smooth with 90 fps,  and yet this 2d game renders with around 1 FPS.

2) While doing the animation part, it somehow hangs X server. Other applications like mplayer stop refreshing untill freeciv is done drawing screen,
and rhymbox even skips sound (heh).
