That would explain it. AIUI upstream has 800x600 as the minimum screen
res supported.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: freeciv-client-gtk

Jaunty Netbook Remix can't run freeciv-client-gtk as the setup screen is too large - the buttons to start the game are off the bottom of the screen. Needs a minimum of 1024x768?
