Binary package hint: openarena

This happens all the time in KDE and rarely in GNOME. After quitting
openarena, I am stuck on a frozen quit screen. It is as if it cannot
switch to the previous resolution. The only way I know to get rid of
this is going to a VT and forcibly quitting the openarena process. Then
when I go back to X I am stuck in low resolution.

I have the following video card:
VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 82G35 Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2982] (rev 01)
        Kernel driver in use: i915                                                                                           
        Kernel modules: i915
