The crash was caused by a null pointer dereference.  The disassembly
shows a loop that follows a linked list and increments a counter.  The
SaveUnit function in boswars-2.5 has two loops like that; both deal with
CConstructionFrame::Next.

Upstream commit r9536 (in boswars-2.5) or r9538 (in trunk) may fix this
crash.

The game window of course disappeared when the game crashed.

I could only send a SIGINT to interrupt the program, which was still running, after which I got this segmentation fault.
