Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will
automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 452258

This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you
may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe
repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect
permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability
to "Change Non-Private" data as it will be adding information to your
bug report. Thanks in advance!

Status in “ogre” package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:

Please update Ogre to 1.6.4.
libogre current version is 1.6.4. Which should be binary compatible with 1.6.1 shipped currently with Karmic.
The problem is that the version 1.6.1 has several bugs that has been solved since that release that avoid a couple of projects I am using to find the OpenGL back end.
The solution according to Ogre forums is to update the Ogre version to 1.6.4, I have compiled it and it is working perfectly (I have compiled 1.6.1 also and is not working, with same error than the Ubuntu package).
