As I mentioned in march, it doesn't repro in Jaunty. I also tried both
karmic and lucid now and it works well on both. I'd say this issue has
been fixed.

Status in “openarena” package in Ubuntu: Invalid

Bug description:
1. do "apt-get install openarena"
2. play open arena for a while (in fullscreen) and notice the FSP is quite good
3. close open arena and open system::preferences::screensaver
4. select screensaver "busy spheres"
5. launch open arena again (still fullscreen)
6. the game stutters/lags to the point that it's unplayable

This bug may or may not repro on machines with other non-intel graphics cards (I only tried on one machine).
I have a Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family (display adapter) called "GMA X3100" in this machine.
