Status in “libphysfs” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
libphyfs1 2.0.0-3 .deb for amd-64 seems broken. It "installs" but then prevents dpkg from running correctly.
It will not uninstall, either

dpkg reports "dpkg (subprocess): unable to execute installed post-removal script "

I had to manually remove libphysfs1 section from /var/lib/dpkg/status to get dpkg to work correctly again.
