Since music and other audio are a very significant part of many games,
could this be upgraded to high priority?

Sound isn't working on a Karmic version of Ren'Py. This is likely because sws_scale is in libswscale0, which isn't being linked. You'll want to patch module/setup.py to link in that file, so sound works.
