Since this game has worked just fine for me on four different Ubuntu
versions, setting as invalid. Feel free to reopen if this is still an
issue.

Running current beneath-a-steel-sky on Jaunty Alpha. There is no proper sound while using pulseaudio. There are only blips and scratches audible.
