Bug description:

Hi.

I have a dual boot setup with Ubuntu 8.10 on one partition, Ubuntu 9.04 on another, and a shared /home on a third. Kinda wanted to check jaunty out before abandoning intrepid.


One of the things that's bothering me (besides no fglrx driver yet/ever) is an older version of xmoto (0.4.2-3) in intrepid, while jaunty sports 0.5.0-1:

This is a problem because leveling data is written to the joint /home dir and then when I start xmoto in intrepid (after starting it beforehand in jaunty), the game crashes after a blink of the opengl framebuffer. A short message about needing a newer data package (xmoto-data) is emitted to the console if launched from there.

I was quite able to install jaunty packages (xmoto, xmoto-data and libsdl-net1.2) on intrepid by hand via dpkg -i, after downloading them from the jaunty repository via packages.ubuntu.com. Tested it and it works perfectly. So it should not be difficult to update the packages.
