[Pkg-games-ubuntu] [Bug 323745] Re: Warsow is linked against non existent libopenal.so.0

At comment #3 : The symlink works for me.

In /etc/openal/alsoft.conf try setting the audiodriver to alsa ( or any
other driver that might work ).

drivers = alsa

Status in “warsow” package in Debian: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: warsow

System : Ubuntu Intrepid

Packages : warsow-0.42.dfsg1-1 / libopenal-1:1.3.253-4ubuntu1

When trying to switch to openal as sound module in warsow it gives an error message similar to

"libopenal.so.0 no found"

while libopenal1 comes with libopenal.so.1 instead. A symlink solves the problem. The package warsow needs to be relinked / rebuild against current libopenal.

libopenal is required to get surround sound as far as I know.
