Bug description:
I'm running Lucid but upgraded to the Maverick version of freeciv (2.2.1) in order to escape a save bug (AIs stop building wonders on upon loading a savegame in 2.1.10), but I've found a more serious bug in 2.2.1: Every time I load my savegames, my engineers forget their progress doing irrigation or mining or whatever.
