Bug description:
Binary package hint: playonlinux
PlayOnLinux package in Ubuntu is about a year old (Ubuntu Natty and Maverick has version 3.7.6, Lucid - 3.7.3), while latest version is 3.8.8
Most of updated PlayOnLinux installers will no longer work with PlayOnLinux versions earlier than 3.8.6 , so, PlayOnLinux package in Ubuntu is not usable now, please update to ver. 3.8.8 or remove PlayOnLinux package from Ubuntu repositories.
A lot of bugs have been fixed in 3.8.x series, for example Ubuntu bug
#490287 (programs in "Microsoft Office 2007" don't start), also a lot
of new features were added:
* Some plugins are now integrated in our software, adding a lot of features:
- Capture will allow you to record your games,
- Wine Import will allow you to add Wine apps into PlayOnLinux, and use our features for it,
- Cedega Import will let you import your Cedega games,
- Wine Look will help you change the color of your Wine application to fit better with your desktop,
- Advanced Wine Configuration will give you access to a lot of tweaks for Wine,
- Offline PlayOnLinux will allow you to run PlayOnLinux without Internet access, by running a server script locally.
* PlayOnLinux now is translated to many languages.
* new tools appeared, playonlinux-cmd.
