I cannot reproduce this on Debian with GNOME 2 running on an Intel GPU
with Intel drivers.

Which graphics card do you have?

Which graphics driver do you use?

Which desktop are you using?

Are you using desktop compositing?

Does it happen when you disable compositing?

Do any other OpenGL games have this issue?

Bug description:
  I downloaded this game and when you start the game the start screen
  lettering is blocked and blurred. I some how start the game and during
  game play it is acting not normal for a scrolling shooter.
