Unfortunately not much progress has been made on this bug for long
enough that the Ubuntu release on which it occurred, Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic
Koala, has not been supported for quite some time.

Does the bug occur for anyone in warsow on a currently supported Ubuntu
release (Lucid, Maverick, Natty, or Oneiric) or in Precise?

  3. I wanted it to at least load the main window.
  4. It didn't start the game & it didn't create a crash-log with Apport.
