To play anyhow, you will have to use an updated version, either wait for
an update or use the one from http://www.pokerth.net/download.html that
you dont have to install.

Bug description:
  It's not possible to launch or join an online game. There appears a
  message about a newer version (0.9 ist the actual one) available and
  prevents online gaming.
