The source code does not build without fixing C++ error messages, once
fixed, the game segfaults on startup. This game would need major
development to update the source code to today's standards, until then
there is very little chances of seeing it packaged.

Title:
  [needs-packaging] Glaxium -- a free OpenGL shoot'em up

Status in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
This is a little space shooter game that is really fun to play. It
exists on Windows and GNU/Linux, but unfortunately there is no easy
way to install it on Ubuntu (./configure && make fails, as does alien
from a Fedora rpm). Although it is no longer maintained by its
developer, it is mature and doesn't really need new releases -- which
  should make maintenance easier.

  URL: http://xhosxe.free.fr/glaxium/
  License: GNU GPLv2 or later.
Notes: Fedora includes it its games spin, this could be useful if there are parts in the source tarball which need to be updated.
