Package: gstreamer0.8-ffmpeg
Version: 0.8.5-1
Severity: important

The gstreamer-ffmpeg plugin fails to register on a gst-register. The
only mention of ffmpeg in /var/lib/gstreamer/0.8/registry.xml is of
ffmpegcolorspace. Trying to play .avis whose video ffmpeg should be able
to take care of results in only an audio stream in totem-gstreamer.

A couple notes... I am running the latest unstable system with the
exception of udev (0.056-3), gedit (2.10.3-2), gedit-common (2.10.3-2),
libgtkspell0 (2.0.10-2), libptplugins-alsa (1.8.4-1), libptplugins-v4l
(1.8.4-1), gaim (1:1.4.0-1), gaim-data (1:1.4.0-1), aspell (0.60.3-1),
and aspell-en (6.0-0-3). Notably, this means that my default gcc is 4.0.

This bugs is fixed for me in 0.8.5-2. Closing.

(I can finally use totem-gstreamer instead of totem-xine. Yay! ^.^)
