Working on separate archive on offline with a revision control is
probably not required for something with simple changes like packaging.
Especially than you need to be online to upload.

Go for SVN, it's easy to use and works fine for a packaging project.

I would say that we don't need to bother. The changes to packages are
documented by the changelog, the exact details is not really useful.

Not sure on how much we need to discuss on the list. I would say than we
can use IRC or debian-gtk-gnome for the discussion and subscribe the
list to the PTS
