Ok, I finally installed kde and can reproduce the problem. Amarok died
because of a SIGFPE (Floating Point Exception) in libgstasf. I don't
know why this wasn't trigerred in the past, and it is still trigerred
with gstreamer plugins 0.8.9 (which is in 0.8.8 in unstable currently).

The upstream bug already occured with a particular video, and I added
more comments on the upstream bug. I suggest you subscribe at
 <http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171528> if you want to
 follow the upstream discussion.

A temporary workaround is to move gstasf away and run gst-register-0.8
and gst-compprep-0.8, but you want be able to use that plugin anymore.

   Bye,
