debhelper like packages for GStreamer

        Hi,

 I'm considering preparing a couple of GStreamer debhelper-like
 utilities.  The candidates so far are:
 - dh_gstinstallpluginsVER: would call gst-register-VER and
   gst-compprep-VER when files are present in /usr/lib/gstreamer-VER,
 - dh_gstshlibdeps: would call objdump/nm on ELF files to resolve hidden
   dependencies and fill a substvar for GStreamer related dependencies
   with the help of per provider-package dependency information
   generated by dh_gstmakeshlibs,
 - dh_gstmakeshlibs: would call objdump/nm on ELF files
   to find out the dependencies they could fulfill and generate a
   providing-package dependencies file with a symbols/package version
   table.

 The first helper is growing necessary as I duplicate code for plugins
 and gstreamer itself in preinst, postinst, and postrm, to deal with
 removal of /root/.gstreamer-0.8 and gst-register+gst-compprep.

 The last two commands would require some work, and needs to be put in
 perspective with the changes in formats for the 0.9/0.10 series.
