 You only consider the deps of gstreamer0.8-misc in this particular
 version.  What about:
 - new upstream releases not requiring a shlibs bump,
 - new upstream releases requiring a shlibs bump,
 - new package uploads with no new upstream release,
 - other packages build-depending on the shlibs.

 you basically took max_deps(A, B) and impose that to everything, which
 is a regression.
