Hi,
it seems your DVD directory or DVD iso image are not valid video DVDs. I
can't reproduce your bug here, encoding from DVD directory or iso image
is working fine.

Can you please paste the directory content of the video_ts directory
from the DVD that you can't import? Does it really miss VIDEO_TS.IFO?

In any case, if this is a valid DVD this is a bug in libdvdread...
