I don't see the point in closing bug #256392, which was marked as
wontfix for a specific reason: the FAAD plugin cannot be included in
Debian because of licensing issues [1], this independently of which
gstreamer version you consider.

Thus, I think that the bug should stay open in order to prevent others
to report a similar request.
