The high quality WMV BBC Short News stream fails to play in Totem with this
error:

There's no problem with the low qualit stream, and the mms streams in
the playlist plays fine, som I'm guessing something goes wrong with
the first entry?

The BBC site comes with the following warning, "If you choose the high
quality option, some of the video you view on this site will be
accompanied by advertisements" so perhaps the first stream is this
advertisment?
