Elisa packaging

The following mail seemed not to have arrived, so I am resending it.
I'm sorry if this is a duplicate for you:

Hello all,

I've recently bought a home-theater PC and tried through most
multi-media center applications out there. So I installed Elisa from
sid and experimental, but the first has issues with my video card and
the latter doesn't seem to work very well with the changed Pigment API.
However, in principle Elisa looks the most promising and is by far the
least kludgy (and GStreamer based ;).

I have built 0.5.24.1 packages of elisa, elisa-plugins-bad and
elisa-plugins-good and they work quite well. So I'd like to help out
with the packaging if I can/may? Creating updated packages was fairly
straightforward. I don't know how strong the link with upstream is but
they seem active.

I must warn you though that I can have periods of inactivity, but due to
my HTPC I have a lot of motivation to get Elisa working well and also
have good packaging. My Python is a bit rusty, since I mostly work with
Ruby, but I think I can manage and even brush it up a bit.

Kind regards,
Paul
