Hi,
does this happen for all youtube videos? If not, for which does it
happen?

Also, the best would be if you could file this bug upstream at
bugzilla.gnome.org for GStreamer/gst-ffmpeg to make sure that 0.10.8
isn't released before this problem is solved.
