I guess I was then simply confused by your use of "sponsoring" when 
requesting help from a DD member of our team.  Or if you indeed are 
seeking what I also understand as "sponsoring" (why else would you cc 
others too in addition to posting to the team list?), then I am confused 
about what is the purpose of this team.


Specifically about your request for help with your package: Now that 
I've taken a closer look, I see that you use short-form dh which I am 
not comfortable with - personally I use CDBS for all my packaging.  
Therefore I will not help work on this packaging, so please find someone 
else about this one.

Yes, you may find my stand ridiculous.  And you are welcome to try 
change my mind, but others have tried before you, so don't expect it to 
come easy: 

To most effectively handle the 150+ packages that I am directly involved 
in the maintainance of, I have decided to consistently use CDBS and 
git-buildpackage for all of them.
