I ran memtest for an hour and got no errors (it was at 70% of pass when I stopped it because I needed my laptop back to do work).

Also, just in case, I checked that turning the about:config option back on brought the problem back - it does. After login + about 2s firefox crashes.

Please let me know what more data I can provide you.
