I think that we should check with upstream for that. I don't remember
any complaints about 1.4 but I am likely to not be careful enough.

One goal for the 1.4 version is to make upstream accepts that we release
a stable Debian release with the current 1.4 version. I would like us to
be careful in the patch we apply to show that we can handle a "stable"
release.
