Hi Robie!

Currently, the branches are a bit messy. Some are prefixed by 1.5 while
some others aren't while others aren't because they are distribution
names. If you are interested in maintaining your changes in alioth, we
can give you access to the repository and we can agree on a sensible
branch naming convention.

For example, all the current Ubuntu branches can be renamed to
ppa/XXXXX-1.4 or ppa/XXXXX-1.5. This way, you can use "vivid" for the
official package of the next Ubuntu (but since you took the package
verbatim, this is not needed yet). Some of the Debian branches can be
renamed to match the release they target (wheezy-backport instead of
wheezy-1.5). Eventually, we could prefix by debian/ or ubuntu/.

I know that some other teams are cross-distro. For example, the X Strike
Force shares its repositories with Ubuntu. We can look at how they do
that.

Also, I can add the official Ubuntu releases to the "wizard" I have
here: http://haproxy.debian.net/ ; I have to update it for the release
of Jessie since we will have an up-to-date HAProxy available through
backports and a stable release through normal channels and you will have
the same thing for Ubuntu. This would be the same for Ubuntu.

You can also join the team in Debian. :)
