About 15. The thing is that a test account with only 1 IMAP folder has
the same problem.

It has not helped.

The load is negligible.

The problem must be one of the following:

- Horde and/or IMP itself
- PHP
- eAccelerator
- PostgreSQL
- Apache

Now, I have already tried completely disabling eAccelerator and
restarting Apache, but that did not help. As far as the others, I
cannot imagine that the problem is Postgres, since it immediately
authorizes the connection to the horde database and then doesn't touch
the CPU again in any meaningful way.

I am not sure what else I can try to change about Apache/PHP/Postgres
that might help point to the problem. Any suggestions are welcome.
