OK, I checked these out. You got them because you built as a native
package (you didn't have the .orig.tar.gz where dpkg-buildpackage
would find it), and the "-i" option, which says _not_ to include these
directories in the source package, doesn't act on native
packages. (Precisely, it says don't put them in the .diff.gz, of which
there is none for a native package.)
