As stated in my initial bug report I'm running testing where php-mail-mime 1.3.1-1 is the latest.
That still depends on php4-pear.

php-mail-mime 1.3.1-1.1 in unstable has a dependency on php-pear.

Even if 1.3.1-1.1 gets promoted to testing imp4 still does not depend on php-mail-mime.
