This bug is already reported in #452351
(http://bugs.debian.org/452351) and corrected in lenny/unstable.
The workaround is also in wiki.debian.org/Horde :

NOTE: There is a bug (http://bugs.debian.org/452351) in Etch
packages, then you could have this errors:

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in
/etc/horde/horde3/conf.php on line 76
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in
/etc/horde/horde3/conf.php on line 76

Workaround: remove backslahes from the last lines of
/etc/horde/horde3/conf.php file.
