I agree on this. It feels like you should provide some packages in  
jessie-backports (as supplementary packages). It is not what  
jessie-backports is supposed to by design, but it seems that Horde in  
jessie will not be complete without some packages / fixes not  
appropriate for jessie anymore.

It seems that ckeditor3 should be provided in Debian unstable. Plus an  
adapted php-horde-editor.

I just looked at the bugs on DDPO (pkg-horde-hackers). I only see two  
issues, that may cause a problem:

   #749799 -> libjs-query-mobile -> not fixable for jessie ( :-( ), if  
at all inside Debian
   #773827 -> this should be fixed in jessie (policy violation), I'd say.
   #755187 -> kronolith SQL error... -> I use kolab as storage  
backend, so no clue... :-(

What issues do you need help with especially. I have a running site  
(with Kolab 2 as backend still) and I have PHP skills. Please be more  
precise and needed assistance.
