Michael,

The -gui package is really there for dependancy management. Users do install hplip on a headless print server and don't want the gui dependances pulled in -qt3.

If they want the full gui interface. The -gui package ensures the depends and menu entries are correct.

Hi,

I'm wondering about the purpose of hplip-gui, when all that is shipped
within this package is a couple of *.desktop files.
Reading through the package description, I had the impression that this
package would contain the graphical admin tools.
