You will need to provide some more details for me to understand your issues.

What does the hp-check utility report?  

Are you able to access the printer from any of the command line applications?

Can you install the hplip-doc package and following the instructions located in the document:
/usr/share/doc/hplip-doc/HTML/troubleshooting.html

Also could I ask you to maintain the Cc: for the bug report, so we can keep on file the debugging steps taken.
