Package: ia32-libs
Version: 20090808
Severity: normal
This is still an issue, see here:
http://www.techtickle.com/google-voice-and-video-chat-now-available-for-ubuntu-and-debian-linux.html#comment-798
And see here for a solution:
http://www.techtickle.com/google-voice-and-video-chat-now-available-for-ubuntu-and-debian-linux.html#comment-800
I tried that solution (manually installing those two packages), and it worked,
but that shouldn't be necessary.
ia32-libs should contain everything needed for all its libs to work (or depend
on other packages for the missing libs).
Why does dpkg even allow creating a package which references nonexistent shared
libraries?
Please add libwrap0 and libgdm3 to ia32-libs (and while you're at it maybe
update the other 32-bit libs to the latest versions).
