I have now added a CDBS script of mine to help with writing (and keeping 
correct) the debian/copyright file.

I also updated the current copyright material to conform to the newly 
proposed standard for the debian/copyright file. See changelog for the 
URL.

Please beware that there is still work to do. Try the following:

$ fakeroot debian/rules pre-build


That command will currently fail, and leave the file 
debian/copyright_newhints for further examination.

Please do _not_ simply rename that file. Do the actual investigations to 
make sure the information in debian/copyright is complete, before 
acknowledging by adding lines to debian/copyright_hints.
