I have a version 1.0.2-0.SVN1 in my local work directory (so it can
upgrade to official packages once they are uploaded), no idea why
uupdate doesn't like it, but that's not important (at least not for
now).

You are right.

So indeed SF predownload URL is only good for checking version, but not
downloading. I remember reading that if you put a specific server name
in watch file, the download will fail as well since the connection is
not from SF webpage. I don't know what to do now since SF is the only
repository of SCIM projects now.
On the other hand, I think the current half-working (or half-broken :-)
is not too bad.
