I don't know ... but I have:
$ set|grep IM_MODULE
CLUTTER_IM_MODULE=ibus
GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus
QT4_IM_MODULE=ibus
QT_IM_MODULE=ibus

Please show me:
$ dpkg -l ibus-gtk3
