<br>Copy and paste from the downstream bug report:<br><br>Problem and possible cause:<br>The internal configuration of app-i18n/ibus-chewing-1.3.10 are not saved<br>successfully.<br>This problem starts from app-i18n/ibus-1.4.0, where IBus changed their<br>
configuration value type from GValue to GVariant.<br>ibus-chewing adapts the change by writing functions to convert between GValue<br>and GVariant.  But it seems that the GValue->GVariant conversion function dealt<br>with some types incorrectly, which caused g_value_get_uint() type checking<br>
failure.<br><br><br>Steps to reproduce:<br>1. Install >=app-i18n/ibus-1.4.0.<br>2. Install =app-i18n/ibus-chewing-1.3.10.<br>3. Start IBus normally, switch to ibus-chewing input method.<br>4. On ibus-chewing language panel, click "configure" button (the second button<br>
from right).  Or if you have language panel embedded in menu, left-click on the<br>IBus icon and choose the third item (Chinese: 設定).<br>5. Adjust the 5th setting (a spinbox with range 8-40, Chinese:<br>容納中文字數).<br>6. Click save (button at right-bottom corner, Chinese: 儲存).<br>
7. Start another application, then repeat step 3 and 4.  You'll find that the<br>setting has gone back to 8, not the value configured in step 5.<br><br>All three fields with a spinbox are affected.<br><br><br>Actual result:<br>
