<div dir="ltr">So far I've tried the following:<div><br></div><div>- changed the content of the file /etc/dconf/db/ibus.d/00-upstream-settings</div><div>- under "[desktop/ibus/panel]"</div><div>- changed the option "lookup-table-orientation" from 1 to 0 (I've provided a diff to show the option).</div>
<div>- after the file was changed I tried "sudo dconf update" to update "/etc/dconf/db/ibus".</div><div>- restarted the ibus daemon by logging out and log back in.</div><div><br></div><div>The candidate orientation still shows vertical :(</div>

The issue is the GUI initiated by the ibus-setup command<br>
has choices for "Candidate Orientation":<br>
 "Vertical"<br>
 "Horizontal"<br>
but only "Vertical" works.<br>

I see it is a real bug.<br>

Yah, it is not so big bug.  We need to wait for upstream fix this either<br>
by removing GUI choice or making it to change candidate choice list<br>
orientation.<br>

I can not come up with fix at this moment by myself.  If you have patch,<br>
let us know.<br>
