The patch works with older kernel versions as well AFAICS, so it
shouldn't do any harm AFAIK.

If you really don't want to provide updated iscsitarget-source
through unstable/testing maybe uploading to experimental would be a
nice feature for users that can't rely on older kernel versions
(nvidia, openafs,... go this approach).
