Is there anything we can do in Ireland ?

I'm a debian developer, and created the 'iso-codes' package within
Debian, now used in Gnome, KDE
and elsewhere, providing 'canonical' versions of the ISO-3166, ISO-639
and ISO-4217 lists
(and more importantly, translations).

We on the iso-codes devel list are (translators, mostly, some devels)
are looking for some act to show
our disapproval of how members of ISO have behaved. Being Irish, I'm
ashamed of the NSAI
change to ''approval''.

We need to do something to show that this is not the end of the
affair; that our beef is very definitely with
those who pulled this stunt, and shamed the ISO and cause of
standards. In fact, those
responsible need to be identified and made pay with their jobs (or at
least roles in ISO / NSAI).
